SPANISH ADVENTURE CAMPS
Play your way to Spanish fluency!
about our summer camps
We are excited to continue our 7th summer camp season with you. New this year is Kids’ Choice! Campers will craft their day by selecting from a variety of engaging activities that explore the world of art, science, sports, and more!
Our campers practice Spanish in a 100% immersive learning environment with both our visiting teachers from Spain as well as our local Kallpachay team. Learning alongside our unique staff will give our campers the chance to pick up the tones, inflections, and rhythms of Spanish as it is spoken by native speakers.
Kallpachay Spanish Adventure Camp is an ideal synthesis of play, language learning, and cultural awareness. Campers will virtually travel to a different Spanish-speaking country or region every two weeks and will gain creative skills as they strengthen their mind while practicing their Spanish all summer long.

Spirited counselors welcome campers with songs and games to make learning through the imagination a breeze. Team building is a part of every day with rhythm and movement games that tie into the theme of the week.
Some of our themes: Costa Rican Animals, Enchanted Kingdom, Intergalactic Mission, Artists in Action, Cityscapes, and Fantastic Photography.
After snack break campers choose an activity station for that week’s elective. Campers first learn about the choices by sampling each of the stations. We encourage skill building in the arts, sciences, and sports. On Fridays campers are coached in how to share something about their elective!
Afternoons are when campers explore other cultures. Their focus is on recreating an iconic festival of a Latin American country. Campers learn about that country’s unique geography, language, food, customs, music, dance, and art. With two weeks for each country, the projects come together on Fiesta Friday in celebration of what we’ve learned!
Join Kallpachay camp directors on a tour of each of our campuses from the comfort of your own home! Watch via one of our live Facebook virtual tour events! Tour events happen in February and May this year (2019).

We are so pleased to have found Kallpachay! Our 2 children have enjoyed Kallpachay Spanish immersion Summer camps for the past two summers, and we have found the camps to be a great way to broaden their cultural awareness and promote bilingualism. We are looking forward to another summer of Kallpachay Spanish immersion.
I love the 100% immersion approach. It’s very effective–even I’m compelled to talk to the teachers in my broken Spanish! I’ve tried other camps where English was used part of the time, and I don’t see my kids compelled to use Spanish when they know they can get away with English. But at Kallpachay, even my younger child who had struggled with speaking Spanish responded to the teacher in Spanish, and that’s awesome!
Both of our children (7 & 9) LOVE the Kallpachay summer camps and their ongoing, weekly private Spanish sessions at our home. Their teachers are professional, very qualified, and have worked in elementary schools as teachers abroad in Spanish speaking countries. They always provide fun & engaging art projects, games, and speaking opportunities. It all adds up to great for learning Spanish!
